Our love story began in the most modern of ways—online. While we were both initially skeptical about online dating, after a few weeks of exchanges (which may or may not have included a brief "ghosting" from Amie), we set a date to meet.

We met at a Bistro in Napa, and as the conversation flowed the world seemed to disappear around us. We talked about everything— no joke —everything! The evening ended after listening to country music in Annika's car. By the end of the date, we both knew this the beginning of something extraordinary.

Our weekends soon became shared experiences filled with hikes and mountain bike rides in the nearby hills, golf, mixed with some occasional work related community events. We both worked hard and used a lot of creativity to find new ways to overcome the 3 hour commute between us and our established careers. All along the way we've connected with each other's family and friends (including Amie's 4 brothers and 5 daughters), and cherished our time together.

Finding a love like this later in life has been a fulfilling and enriching experience, offering unique advantages that come from a lifetime of growth, learning, and self-discovery. Since our very first text, this has been the adventure of a lifetime and we can't wait to celebrate our good fortune as we share our wedding day with all of you.
